Trendspotter?

I don't normally pay attention to trends. I make what I make, and people will either buy it or they won't. I wear what I wear, and people will either like it or they won't. But I feel like I've seen so much of the following on Etsy (no, not mustaches) that it must be some kind of trend:

Something about it seems a bit too delicate and, I don't know, "prissy," maybe? I don't really rock prissy all that well. Regardless, I think I've been inspired to use chain a little more often than I have been previously. There are more design prototypes on the way!
